Ty Canol

Ty Canol is in Bridell, which is a hamlet near Cardigan in west Wales. It's a detached slate cottage, so you're on your own. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. It's been done up but they've kept the old bits like the bread oven and the big fireplace. The stairs are normal.

You've got all the utilities included, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. Parking is on site.

The kitchen and living area is all one open plan room. French doors go out to the patio and the lawn. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings.

You're right in the countryside here, with fields all around. There are public footpaths from the door for walking. The village of Cilgerran is just over a mile away. It has a shop, a few pubs that do food, and a canoe centre. The castle there is worth a look. It overlooks the Teifi Gorge.

Cardigan is the nearest proper town for bigger shops. The coast and some good beaches, like Poppit Sands, are about a ten minute drive away. For a day out, the Wildlife Trust's Teifi Marshes nature reserve is nearby. If you fancy going further, places like Folly Farm or the coast around Newport are within a 30 minute drive.

You can bring up to two dogs.
