Gamekeepers Cottage is in Newchapel, Pembrokeshire. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. We've got a 4 Star rating.
It used to be the gamekeeper's cottage for Pentre Mansion. We've had it a long time and restored it with traditional methods. That means you'll see exposed stone walls, old beams, and quarry tiles on the ground floor. The stairs are narrow and winding, like you'd expect in an old cottage.
Upstairs is the bedroom, with original floorboards, and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath. There's a wood burner in the living room. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We allow one pet. You've got your own parking space right by the cottage.
It's very quiet here. The nearest pub is about an 800 yard walk. A good local shop and a restaurant are in Abercych, two miles away. Cardigan is about a ten minute drive. That's your proper market town with shops, cafes, and the castle. The coast path runs through there.
From Cardigan, you can get to beaches like Mwnt and Poppit Sands. They're good for dogs and walks. The Welsh Wildlife Centre on the Teifi Marshes is close by, maybe a five minute drive. It's a great spot for birdwatching. Cenarth Falls is about the same distance.
