Bwthyn Y Bugail

Bwthyn Y Bugail is a shepherd's barn we've converted. It's in Abercych, up a quiet farm lane in the countryside. The views from here are great. You look out over fields and a valley.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The main bedroom has a super king bed and its own shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable.

Downstairs is mostly one big room. Kitchen, dining, and living area. There's a range cooker, a wood burner for cooler evenings, and patio doors that go out to your own enclosed garden. Good for a barbecue if the weather's right.

The local pub is about a ten minute walk. It's down in the hamlet by the river. They do food and you can sit outside. There's a shop a couple of miles away in Cenarth.

You're about twenty minutes' drive from the coast. Good beaches that way are Poppit Sands, Newport Sands, and Mwnt. They're all different. Tenby's a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes, but it's a proper seaside town with a big beach and lots of places to eat.

For walks, you can start from the cottage along the River Cych. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site has maps. If you're interested in history, Carew Castle is about half an hour away.

Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking right outside. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
