Bwthyn Y Bugail is in Abercych, Pembrokeshire. It's a detached cottage that used to be a shepherd's barn. You're on the edge of farmland, so the views from the windows are over fields and the valley. It's quiet.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is attached to the main bedroom. It has a 5 Star rating. It's been done up well, with things like a proper range cooker in the kitchen. The main living area is all one big room, with a high ceiling and beams. The floor is tiled. Patio doors open onto your own enclosed garden and patio. There's a barbecue out there.
The local pub is about a ten minute walk away, down the lane in the hamlet. They do food and you can sit outside by the river. A longer walk along the river gets you to Cenarth village, where you can sometimes see salmon at the falls.
The Pembrokeshire coast is about 20 minutes away by car. Good beaches there include Poppit Sands, Newport Sands and Mwnt. The walled town of Tenby is about a 40 minute drive, for a day out.
What's here: Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a highchair and a stairgate if you need them. Parking is right outside. No pets, sorry.
