Golwg Y Cwm

Golwg Y Cwm is a barn conversion on our sheep farm near Newcastle Emlyn in Carmarthenshire. The name means Valley View, and you do get a good view down the valley from the main room and the terrace. You can often see red kites soaring over the fields.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor and has its own shower room. The main living area is open plan, with a wood burner and patio doors to the terrace. The floor there is the original slate flagstones. There's also an indoor hot tub that seats six.

The terrace is enclosed with a glass balcony so you don't lose the view. It's a good spot for a barbecue. You're on a working farm, so you'll see and hear sheep.

Newcastle Emlyn is about ten minutes away by car. It's a small market town on the River Teifi with some shops, cafes, and a ruined castle. For bigger shops, Cardigan is about a twenty-minute drive. The coast at places like Poppit Sands or Mwnt takes about half an hour to drive to.
