The Carthouse is one of three cottages at Morlogws Farm, down a private lane. It's a working dairy farm in a wooded valley near Tanglwst. The cottage itself is terraced, so it shares walls, but you get your own garden area.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a washing machine, decent WiFi, and a TV. Parking is right there.
Inside, the ceilings are low in places with original beams. Mind your head if you're tall. There are solid oak floors in the living room and a gas stove that looks like a wood burner. The kitchen is a galley style.
You share some facilities with the other two cottages here. There's an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub. There's also a games room with a pool table and table tennis.
The shop and the nearest pub are about six miles away, so you'll need to drive or plan ahead. Newcastle Emlyn is ten minutes by car. It's a proper market town with butchers, bakeries, and a few places to eat. Cardigan is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. Cardigan Castle is worth a look if you're interested in history. The National Trust runs it now.
For beaches, Poppit Sands or Mwnt are within half an hour. New Quay is good for a day out if you want to see dolphins. The River Teifi is known for salmon fishing. At Cenarth, you can sometimes see them leaping up the waterfalls.
In terms of facilities, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets allowed. There's a barbecue in the garden.
