The Carthouse is in Tanglwst, on a working dairy farm. It's one of three cottages here, set back down a private farm lane in a wooded valley.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place has original beams and solid oak floors in the living room. There's a gas wood burner that looks like a real fire. The kitchen is a farmhouse galley style, with a dining area.
On the farm there's a shared indoor swimming pool and a shared hot tub. There's also a games room with a pool table, air hockey, and table tennis. Some gym equipment is available too.
The cottage looks out over the farm's pond and meadows. It's a proper rural spot. The closest shop and pub are about six miles away in Newcastle Emlyn. That's a ten-minute drive. It's a historic market town with places to eat and some shops.
For beaches, you've got Poppit Sands, Mwnt, Aberporth, and New Quay. They're all within about half an hour's drive. Good for swimming or just a walk.
Cardigan is about 25 minutes north. The castle there is worth a visit. The River Teifi runs through it. Inland, the village of Cenarth has waterfalls where you can sometimes see salmon leaping.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available. There's a patio garden with a BBQ. No pets, sorry.
