The Lavvu
The Lavvu is a tipi in some woods near Rhos, in Carmarthenshire. It sleeps four, all in one room, with one double and two singles. There's one bathroom, but it's not in the tipi itself. You use shared showers and toilets a short walk away.
It's a glamping setup on a four-acre site that has other tipis and yurts. It's nice and quiet in the woods. You'll see a lot of birds.
The tipi is open-plan with a kitchen area and a wood-burning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's electric lighting. There's a big communal fire-pit and a log cabin you can use, and a play area for kids in the woods.
The site is inland, where Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion meet. It's about a 30-minute drive to a lot of good places. You can get to the Pembrokeshire coast, like Newport or Poppit Sands. Aberaeron and Cardigan are close. The National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines are nearby for a visit. For a bigger day out, you could drive into the Brecon Beacons.
