The Lavvu is on our land in Rhos, in Carmarthenshire. It's a Scandinavian tipi in four acres of woodland. The main part is one open space.
It sleeps four. There's one double bed and two singles all in that same room, so it's best for a family. There's one bathroom but it's not in the tipi. The toilet and showers are in a separate block a short walk away. They're shared with a couple of other glamping structures on site.
The tipi has a wood-burning stove for heat. It's got basic kitchen things. There's electric lighting. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right by it.
Outside, there's a big shared fire-pit area. There are lots of bird feeders around so you'll see plenty of wildlife. The kids' play area is in the woods, with bits to explore.
For the area, you're near the borders of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Ceredigion. The coast is about a 20-minute drive. I'd look at the Visit Wales site for ideas. The National Trust Wales page is good for local places like Llanerchaeron. The beaches at New Quay or around Cardigan are within half an hour.
It's a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's glamping. You're in a tent, so it can be cool at night even with the stove. The walk to the shower block is fine, but you'll need a torch.
