The Alachigh is a large tent in a four-acre wood near Rhos. I've put it on my land. There are good views over the Teifi valley from up there.
It sleeps six, but it's all in one big bedroom space. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's a glamping site, so it's comfortable but it's still a tent. There's a wood burner for heat.
It's off-grid but there is solar power for lighting and phone charging. You cook on a gas hob. The shower and proper toilets are a short walk away in a communal block. They're clean and modern.
The setting is very quiet. You'll hear birds and not much else. There's a fire pit and a BBQ outside your tent.
There are some other glamping structures on the land, like yurts and tipis. You share the shower block and a big log cabin with them. The cabin has a kitchen and tables if you want to eat with a bigger group. The woods have little paths and some things for kids to find, like carved totems.
You're right on the border of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, and Ceredigion. Cardigan town is about a 20-minute drive. The Pembrokeshire coast, places like Newport and Moylegrove, is within half an hour. For a big beach day, Poppit Sands is about 25 minutes away.
Facilities are what you'd expect: bedding and towels are included, there's parking, and you can use the BBQ. No pets allowed. The owner does massage treatments if you book ahead.
