The Brentwood Yurt
The Brentwood Yurt is on a small glamping site near Rhos in Carmarthenshire. It's up on its own platform amongst trees. You're really just in a field and a wood, so it's very quiet.
It's one yurt that sleeps four. There's one big open room with a double bed and two singles in it, all the beds are in the main space. It has a wood-burning stove, which heats it quickly, and a small kitchen area. There's electric lighting. You have your own private deck.
The showers and toilets are shared. They're in a separate block, about a one or two minute walk from the yurt across the field. There's also a communal log cabin with a kitchen and a big firepit area you can use.
The site is good for families because there's space for kids to run about. There are some little play elements and fairy doors hidden in the woods. It's that sort of place.
You're on the borders of three counties here, which is useful. For beaches, you're about half an hour's drive from places like Llansteffan. Carmarthen town has supermarkets and is about 20 minutes away by car.
The National Botanic Garden of Wales is very close, maybe a 10 minute drive. It's a good day out. For wider walks and beaches, you can look at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website. It's about 40 minutes to get to the proper Pembrokeshire coast.
What’s included: all your bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right next to the yurt platform. You can use the BBQ. No pets, sorry.
