The Milking Parlour is in Saron, Carmarthenshire. It used to be the milking parlour for the farm. We live next door. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is a wet room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The floor is reclaimed wood and there are wooden beams. We've tried to keep it feeling like part of the old building.
You've got a patio garden to sit out in. It's very quiet here. From spring to autumn our Hampshire Down sheep are in the field next door. We get red kites overhead. At night, with hardly any light pollution, you can see the stars clearly.
The village shop and a pub are about a mile away. They're handy.
You're right in the middle of west Wales here. The coast at Cardigan Bay is about half an hour's drive. New Quay is good for dolphin spotting boat trips. Aberystwyth is a proper seaside town with the university. Carmarthen is to the south. Inland, you've got the Teifi Valley and places like Newcastle Emlyn.
For facilities: it's all on one level, there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. We have a cot if needed. No pets, sorry.
