The Milking Parlour
The Milking Parlour is a cottage in Saron, Carmarthenshire. We’re next door. It used to be the milking parlour for the farm, so it’s a single storey building. We converted it ourselves.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and warm, with wooden beams and a slate floor. The furniture is a mix of old and new. It’s open plan.
You’ve got your own patio and garden area. We own a couple of acres of woodland and ponds behind the cottage, which guests are welcome to walk around. It’s very quiet here. You get red kites and buzzards flying over. The night sky is clear, with almost no light pollution.
The local shop and pub are about a mile away. The pub does food.
You’re quite central here for west Wales. New Quay and its dolphin trips are about half an hour’s drive. Aberystwyth is roughly 30 minutes north. Carmarthen is about 20 minutes south. The coast and the Wales Coast Path are within easy reach.
For facilities: there’s a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot if you need it. Parking is right outside. We’ve installed an electric vehicle charger. Sorry, no pets.
