Cych Cottage
Cych Cottage is a bungalow in Capel Iwan, Carmarthenshire. It's detached, so you've got it to yourselves. It's got two bedrooms, so it sleeps four. One bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The place is modern inside, but with some old beams. It feels clean and new, which is what the 4 Star rating means. The main thing is the view. The living room has French doors that open onto a private terrace, and you look straight out over the Cych Valley. It's a proper open view, nothing in the way.
There's a multi-fuel stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is a galley style, but it's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there, and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
You're in the middle of the countryside here. It's quiet. The grounds are big, with some old ruins from a 13th-century longhouse and ponds. Good for a wander.
Newcastle Emlyn is about three miles away. That's where you'll find shops, a few pubs and restaurants, a leisure centre with a pool, and a castle ruin. There's a riverside pub about a five-minute drive from the cottage.
You're well placed for getting out. The beaches along Cardigan Bay are maybe 20-30 minutes in the car. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is to the west. For days out, you've got the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for walking, or the Visit Wales National Parks page has more general info. The National Wool Museum in Dre-fach Felindre is about a 25-minute drive.
No pets, sorry. The cottage can be booked with the one next door if you're a larger group.
