Cych Cottage

Cych Cottage is in Capel Iwan, near Newcastle Emlyn in Carmarthenshire. It's a single-storey bungalow, so no stairs. Detached, with its own garden and terrace. The view from there is the main thing. It looks straight out over the Cych Valley. Photos don't really do it justice.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and one bathroom with a shower over the bath. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-kept. The living area is open plan with French doors to the terrace. There's a multi-fuel stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is a galley style. It has what you need.

The cottage is on a site with a few acres of grounds. There are some old ruins from a 13th century longhouse and ponds. It's very quiet.

Newcastle Emlyn is about three miles away. It's a small town with shops, a few pubs and restaurants, a leisure centre with a pool, and a ruined castle. There's a riverside pub with an outside area about a five minute drive from the cottage.

You're well placed for the coast and the countryside here. The beaches of Cardigan Bay, like Aberaeron or Llangrannog, are within a 30 minute drive. Inland, you've got the Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park border. The Teifi Valley is right there for fishing or canoeing. The National Wool Museum in Dre-fach Felindre is an interesting visit. The farm next door makes Caws Cenarth cheese, which is famous.

For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking and a BBQ. No pets, sorry.
