Merlin's Cabin is a wooden lodge on our family-run park, Penlan, near the village of Cenarth. It's detached and sits in its own bit of the woodland valley, so it feels quite private.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being over the top. The space is open plan inside.
The cabin has a patio and garden with a barbecue. There's parking right outside. For facilities, you've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. We also take up to two dogs. There's a plastic dog bed and bowls here for them.
The park itself has a swimming pool and a kids' play area. It's a quiet place, good for a proper unwind.
Cenarth village is about a mile away. It has a shop, a pub that does food, and the famous waterfalls on the River Teifi. Cardigan town is about 15 minutes by car. You've got the castle there and some nice river walks. Newcastle Emlyn is closer, about 10 minutes away. It's a small market town with a good butcher, an organic shop, and a nice café by the river.
You're well placed here for getting out. There are some good quiet roads for cycling. Several beaches are within a half hour drive, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path starts about seven or eight miles away. You can go dolphin watching in Cardigan Bay, or visit the Welsh Wildlife Centre. For activities, Llys y Fran lake is nearby.
In the cabin, we've put in under-blanket heaters on all the beds for cooler nights. There are sofa blankets, a pile of DVDs, books, and some board games for rainy days.
