Woodpecker Rest is in Llechryd, Ceredigion. It's a semi-detached cottage. We live next door in the main house. You get your own private walled garden which is sunny and enclosed. There's also a large pond on the grounds, so if you've got small children you'll need to keep an eye on them.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both double beds, and each has its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's modern inside, it was done up a few years ago. The kitchen is a galley style. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, a bit steep and narrow.
There's a shop, a pub that does food, and a good restaurant about five hundred yards away in the village. The restaurant is right by the River Teifi.
Cardigan is five minutes north by car. It's a market town with a castle, supermarkets, and places to eat. The nearest proper beach is Poppit Sands, about four miles away. It's good for sandcastles and sometimes surfing. Further along the coast, Mwnt and Newport are worth the drive.
For local things to do, Cenarth Falls is nice for a walk and you might see salmon jumping. The Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran is good for families. If you want to go further, Tenby is about forty minutes south. It's a proper seaside town with beaches and shops.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is easily accessible for walking.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. We take up to two well-behaved dogs.
