Woodpecker Rest

Woodpecker Rest is our cottage on the edge of Llechryd, which is a small place just north of Cardigan. It's semi-detached and looks out over our garden and the woods.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and each has its own bathroom with a shower. That's quite handy. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well equipped.

The kitchen is a galley style, and it leads into the living room. There's a sun room off the back. You do see woodpeckers here, which is why we called it that.

The garden is walled and is for your use. There's a lawn and a small ornamental pond, so if you've got small children you'll want to keep an eye on them.

Cardigan is about five minutes' drive. It's a proper market town with a castle, shops, and good places to eat. The beach at Poppit Sands is about fifteen minutes away. Newport Sands and Mwnt are a bit further along the coast, maybe twenty to thirty minutes. They're very nice.

Locally, Cenarth Falls is worth a visit. The Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran is good for a walk. For a longer day out, Tenby is about forty minutes south. Folly Farm and Oakwood are within forty-five minutes.

In the village, about three quarters of a mile away, there's a shop, a garage, a pub, and a chip shop.

Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. We take up to two dogs. It's decorated for Christmas if you're booking over that period.
