It's called 2 Penrhiw. It's a terrace of three cottages in Abercych, right on the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire border. We live next door in number one.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star property. We renovated it ourselves after it was empty for decades. We used lime plaster and reclaimed materials where we could. It's not fancy, but it's solid and full of character.
The stairs are quite steep, and the ceilings are low in places. The floors downstairs are the original quarry tiles, so they're hard and a bit uneven. There are two wood burners, one in the main living room and one in the smaller sitting room.
The kitchen has a Belfast sink and you get a good view down the valley while you're doing the washing up. The garden is out the back, a bit up the bank.
The local pub is about twenty yards away. They do food. There's a shop a couple of miles up the road in Boncath.
You're right in the Cych Valley for walks. The river's good for a paddle. Cenarth, which has those famous waterfalls where the salmon jump, is a short drive. The Pembrokeshire coast is about half an hour by car. Newport, Cardigan, and Aberporth are all in that direction.
You can bring two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's wifi.
For planning days out, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site is useful, as is Visit Wales.
