Cilwendeg Lodge
Cilwendeg Lodge is in Boncath, Pembrokeshire. It's a detached gatehouse to a larger estate. The estate has been in the same family for over a hundred years.
The Lodge sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and one with twins, and one bathroom. It's all on one level. Everything's been recently renovated so it's clean and comfortable. It has a 4 Star rating. You've got your own garden and a private hot tub.
The main room is a good size with a wood burner. The kitchen leads off from it. There's a big old fireplace in there, which is a nice feature. Everything you'd need is provided: bedding, towels, washing machine, dishwasher. There's parking right outside.
You're on a 350-acre estate with a working farm. There are footpaths you can follow. One of them ends up at the pub in Newchapel, which is about a mile and a quarter away. They do food. The village shop in Boncath is half a mile.
On the estate there's a Shell House. It's a Gothic garden building covered in seashells and coloured glass. It's quite something to see. It's open to visitors on Thursdays from April to September. The estate chapel is open then too.
The Pembrokeshire coast is about a ten-mile drive. That gets you to the coastal path and some great beaches like Newport Sands or Poppit. You can drive to Cardigan in under twenty minutes. They've got the castle there and good places to eat.

In terms of facilities, it's all there. WiFi, TV, bike storage, a cot and highchair if you need them. There's a BBQ for the garden. No pets, sorry.
