Cilwendeg Lodge
Cilwendeg Lodge is in Boncath, Pembrokeshire. It's a detached, single-storey gatehouse on a private estate. The owners live in the main house. The place sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed, the other has twins. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has character, being a listed building. There's a large living room with a wood burner, and the kitchen has a big inglenook fireplace. You get your own garden with a hot tub.
The estate is about 350 acres with footpaths. You can walk through the woods to the local pub in Newchapel, which is about a mile and a quarter. The village shop is half a mile away.
Two things on the estate are worth mentioning. There's a medieval chapel. And there's a Gothic shell house, covered in seashells and coloured glass. It's quite a sight. They're both open to visitors on Thursdays from April to September.
The Pembrokeshire coast is under a half-hour drive. Good beaches like Poppit Sands and Newport Sands are about ten miles. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site has walking routes. Cardigan is close, with its castle and shops. Cilgerran Castle is a few miles away.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. There's a BBQ. No pets allowed.
