Maes Yr Onnen is a big Victorian house in Abercych. It was the minister's house. We've done it up.
It sleeps ten. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped.
There are original floors and fireplaces. The kitchen is new. Downstairs, there's a living room and a snug with a TV. There's also a basement with a pool table and darts.
The garden is enclosed. There's a hot tub out there.
The stairs are fine, but it's an old house so some of the floors are a bit uneven in places. You get used to it.
The village pub is about a mile's walk. They do food. The nearest shop is two and a half miles.
You're right on the border of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. The River Cych runs through the valley. Good for walks. Cilgerran Nature Reserve is nearby for wildlife.
The Pembrokeshire coast is about a 20-minute drive. Good beaches at places like Poppit Sands. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site has walking routes. You can see castles at Newcastle Emlyn, Cilgerran and Cardigan.
For a day out with kids, Folly Farm is about half an hour away.
Facilities: everything on the list is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels included. Parking for several cars. No pets, sorry.
