2 Cilwendeg Lodge

2 Cilwendeg Lodge is a detached cottage. It's set on the Cilwendeg Estate near Boncath. The estate is about 350 acres of farmland and woods. The cottage is Grade II listed, but it's been restored so everything works properly.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It has a 4 Star rating. There's an open plan kitchen and dining area. It's warm and the wood burner is easy to use.

The stairs are a normal pitch, not too steep. There's a games room upstairs with a pool table and some boardgames.

You have your own enclosed garden with a patio, a barbecue, and a hot tub.

There's a pub about 200 yards away in Newchapel. They do food and local ales. Boncath village has a shop and post office, that's about a mile and a half away.

The cottage is on the estate grounds. You can walk through the woods and farmland. The paths will lead you back to the pub. The Shell House on the estate is a gothic building covered in shells and bits of coloured glass. It's unusual. It's open to visitors on Thursdays from April to September.

The coast is about a 30 minute drive. Good beaches like Newport Sands, Poppit Sands, and Mwnt are all in that direction. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park has all the main walking route information.

For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
