Church Street Cottage is on Church Street in Cardigan. It's a town house, but it's tucked right in by the river. You get a real sense of quiet even though you're only a minute's walk from the high street.
It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, which feels about right. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow, mind you. They're original. You'll need to watch your step.
The back garden is a proper suntrap. It's on two levels, with a slate patio right at the top that looks straight out over the River Teifi. You can sit there with a cup of tea and watch the boats. It's enclosed, so it's safe for a dog or kids.
You can walk to everything. The shops, the market hall, and a few pubs and restaurants are about 200 yards away. There's a mooring and a slipway for boats practically on the doorstep if you have one.
For bigger days out, the Cardigan Heritage Coast is all around you. Good beaches like Poppit Sands and Mwnt are about a fifteen minute drive. You can get to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park easily from here too. The National Trust Cardigan Bay page has walking ideas. For more local information, Visit Ceredigion is useful.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. It works well. The facilities are what you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Parking is on site for one car. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
