Pengelli Cottage
Pengelli Cottage is on our farm in Glanrhyd. It's attached to our house but you have your own door and your own garden. The farm's about 250 acres. We've got beef cattle, sheep, and a few other animals around. You're welcome to see them, and if we're feeding lambs you can sometimes help.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean and comfortable. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase.
The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is open plan with a dining table. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
We're down a country lane, so it's quiet. The nearest shop is about a mile away. There's a pub and a restaurant two miles from here.
You can walk straight from the door into the woods. It's an ancient oak woodland, part of the largest in West Wales. If you follow the paths you can get to Castell Henllys, which is a reconstructed Iron Age fort. They've got a cafe there.
The north Pembrokeshire coast is about ten minutes by car. Good beaches like Newport Sands, Poppit and Mwnt are all close. You can surf or swim there.
Cardigan town is about fifteen minutes away. The castle there is worth a look. The Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran is also nearby, good for walks and birdwatching.
If you fancied a day out, Tenby is around forty minutes drive. Folly Farm, Heatherton and Oakwood theme park are all within forty-five minutes.
We allow up to four dogs. There's an extra charge of fifteen pounds per dog.
