Ferry View

Ferry View is in St Dogmaels, looking right over the River Teifi. It’s a semi-detached house and you get the garden. The view is great, it changes all the time with the tide.

It sleeps six people, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean. There’s one parking space on the gravel drive right outside.

You’re a couple of minutes walk from the village pub, The Ferry Inn, and the pontoon for boats. Poppit Sands beach is about a mile and a half away, you can walk it along the coast path if you want. Cardigan, with shops and the castle, is the other way on the same path, maybe a 20 minute walk.

The house has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. There’s a cot and a highchair and a stairgate at the top of the stairs. One well-behaved dog is allowed. The garden is sunny and there’s a barbecue. There’s also a tap and space round the side to wash off sandy things or store kayaks.

In the village, St Dogmaels Abbey is worth a look. The watermill, Y Felin, is interesting and they have a cafe. There’s a good local produce market there on Tuesdays.

For days out, the Welsh Wildlife Centre is about ten minutes by car. The coast path goes for miles in both directions. For heritage, you’ve got Cardigan Castle and lots of other castles within a half hour drive. The Cardigan Bay coast is good for dolphin spotting, you might see them from the beach.
