Ferry View

Ferry View is in St Dogmaels, just over the river from Cardigan. It's the end-terrace cottage in a short row. You get a patio garden out the front with a view straight across the River Teifi estuary.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The rating is 3 Star. It means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The stairs to the first floor are normal, but the stairs up to the twin bedroom are quite steep and narrow, just so you know.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a hose and a storage area round the side for washing off sandy paws or wetsuits.

The village has a shop and a pub, The Ferry Inn, about a two minute walk away. They do food. There's a working watermill, Y Felin, in the village which is interesting. They have a good market there on Tuesdays.

You're right on the Wales Coast Path. One way, it's a nice walk along the river into Cardigan for shops and the castle. The other way, it leads to Poppit Sands, which is a big sandy beach. It's about a mile and a half to walk there, or a few minutes by car.

A ten minute drive gets you to the Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran. Good for walks and spotting birds. The Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in New Quay is about half an hour's drive if you're interested in dolphins.

For facilities: there's parking for one car on the drive, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included.
