Ty Canol
Ty Canol is one of seven detached houses here in Gwbert. It's big, sleeps ten. It's got five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well fitted out and finished to a good standard. It's not swanky, just comfortable and everything works.
The layout is good if someone has limited mobility. There are two bedrooms and a wetroom on the ground floor, and the access is step-free. The other three bedrooms are upstairs.
Outside, there's a decent sized private garden. It's enclosed. There's a hot tub. You also have an electric vehicle charger on site.
The house is about a hundred yards from the cliff top. The view over Cardigan Bay is very good. You can see the estuary and the Pembrokeshire coast from there. It's a quiet spot.
There's a pub and restaurant about five minutes' walk away. The nearest shop is in Cardigan, about ten minutes by car.
For beaches, Poppit Sands is about seven miles up the coast. It's a long stretch of sand when the tide's out. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is right next door for walking. The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales looks after Cardigan Island, which you can see from the headland.
Cardigan town is a couple of miles away. It has supermarkets, a leisure centre, and the castle. From there you're about half an hour from places like Fishguard, Aberaeron, or Newport. You can easily get into Pembrokeshire for the day.
Inside, it's all open plan. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
