Y Bwthyn

Y Bwthyn is in Cilgwyn, near the border with Pembrokeshire. It's a converted stone barn, one of four around a shared courtyard. You have your own garden bit.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not luxury. The main room is open plan, with a wood burner. The floors downstairs are tiled, but we've put rugs down. There's a modern fitted kitchen in that space.

The WiFi signal is shared and only really works in the yard outside. It won't work inside the cottage. Also, the water comes from our own spring, so the pressure can vary a bit sometimes.

The cottage is next to its sister property, Ty Bach. You can book them together with another place if you've got a bigger group.

We're a working farm. The grounds have over seven hundred holly trees, with all the berries, and there are a few little garden areas tucked away if you want some quiet.

The nearest pub and shop are about three miles away. A good sandy beach is about five miles, towards the Pembrokeshire coast. Fishguard is nine miles. Newport Pembrokeshire is four miles, and that's where you can get sailing and golf.

For things to do, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website is good. So is Visit Wales. If you like historic places, Pembrokeshire's local site has ideas.

Included facilities: bedding, a cot, highchair, parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
