Penmynydd Uchaf
Penmynydd Uchaf is a farmhouse just outside Dinas Cross. It’s a few miles from the coast. You’re up in the hills here, so it’s quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the king-size bedrooms is on the ground floor. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well-equipped.
The kitchen is a decent size. There’s a dishwasher, washing machine, and a tumble dryer in the utility room. The main room has stone walls and a wood burner. The stairs are a bit unusual. They’re two-way stairs, which means you can go up from the main room or from the hall.
The garden is enclosed. There’s a hot tub, heated by a wood burner. There’s a barbecue and garden furniture. It’s a good spot.
For the coast, Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod are the nearest beaches. They’re about two or three miles drive. Good for a swim or a walk. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right past there.
Newport, with its shops and a few more pubs, is about five miles away. Fishguard is a ten minute drive for the supermarket and the ferry to Ireland.
If you want to explore, St Davids is about half an hour by car. The Preseli Hills are on your doorstep for walking. Useful links for planning: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and National Trust Wales.
Facilities: everything’s included like bedding and towels. There’s parking. WiFi. You can bring one dog. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
