The Old Police House

The Old Police House is in the middle of Fishguard town. It used to be the actual police station, which is a talking point. It's a sturdy stone building, right on the street.

It sleeps seven, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One is a wet room on the ground floor, which is handy if you've been on the beach. The other has a big bath. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order and well-equipped.

The layout is a bit different because of what it was. You come in the front door into a hallway. There's a sitting room at the front with a woodburning stove. Through the back, there's a second sitting area that leads into a large kitchen and dining space. It's a good room for everyone to be in. The stairs are normal.

The garden is out the back. It's enclosed and gets the sun in the evening. There's a patio and a BBQ.

You're right in town, so the shops, a bakery, and pubs are a few steps away. The ferry port for Ireland is down the hill. To get to the main Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, you walk down through Lower Town to the harbour, which takes about ten minutes, then pick it up from there.

Newport is about a fifteen minute drive east along the coast. Good for cafes and a different beach. St Davids is roughly half an hour west. For a big day out, Folly Farm is about twenty minutes south.

Facilities: it has the washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is in a public car park about a two minute walk away. You get a permit for one car.
