Alright, so the cottage is the Old Dinas Arms. It's in Lower Town, which is the harbour bit of Fishguard. It's on a quiet road, no traffic. You look right down at the harbour from here.
It's a proper old stone cottage, but it's done up inside. It sleeps six, three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. Has a 4 Star rating. It feels solid.
Downstairs has slate floors and two living areas, both with wood burners. Underfloor heating too, so it's never cold.
The kitchen's up a short, curved staircase from the living room. It's a good size, has everything you'd need. The back door from the kitchen leads out to the garden. It's split-level, looks over the harbour. Good spot for the BBQ.
Just a note on the stairs inside. They're not all in one flight. You go up from the kitchen a couple of steps to a utility room with the washing machine, then up another step to the main bathroom. Then three more steps up to the bedroom corridor. It's fine, just how an old place is built.
The local pub is about 200 yards away. The shop and a restaurant are half a mile back towards the main part of Fishguard.
You're right on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. You can walk for miles either way. The beach at Goodwick is about a 20 minute walk along the coast path. For swimming, Newport Sands is a 15 minute drive. St Davids is about half an hour away.
What's here: Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, wood burners, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding's included. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning walks or days out, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site is really useful. For local history, Visit Wales has good info on the area.
