Seren Saethu

So Seren Saethu. It's a glamping pitch in a field just outside Fishguard. You get your own little wooden hut to sleep in, and then separate huts for a kitchen and a shower.

It sleeps four, but there's one bedroom, a double. The other two would be on a sofa bed in the main hut. I'd say it works best for a couple or a family with young children. You can bring one dog.

The site is six acres. Your pitch is private, with its own small garden and seating area. There's a fire pit. At night, with no street lights, you can see an awful lot of stars.

There's a place on the farm called Tregroes Pantry. They do evening meals and a Sunday roast, but only from Easter to the end of September, and not every day. Sometimes they have music on a Friday in summer.

Location is the main thing. It's less than a mile to the coastal path. You can walk down into Fishguard town from the site, which has a few pubs and cafes. For proper beaches, both Newport and Goodwick are about a ten minute drive.

Strumble Head is a couple of miles west. It's a good spot for watching seals and seabirds. The lighthouse is there. Inland, you've got the Preseli Hills, which are about twenty minutes by car. Good for walking and there are some old burial sites like Pentre Ifan. All the information for that is on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site.

What you get: a proper bed with bedding, a wood burner in the hut, the kitchen hut has basic cooking gear, and the shower hut has hot water. There's parking right by your pitch. Because the huts are separate, you'll be walking outside between them.
