Yr Hen Gof is a cottage in Mathry, up on a hill near the Pembrokeshire coast. It used to be the village smithy. It's not huge, but it sleeps four across two bedrooms. There's one bathroom.
The downstairs is mostly one open space. The kitchen leads into a sun room, which has doors out to a small gravelled bit with a table. The other side is the living room. It's got an open fire. There's also a piano in there from the previous owners, if anyone fancies a tune.
The stairs are open plan off the kitchen. They go up to a galleried bedroom which looks down over the room below. The other bedroom is off the landing. The owner lives next door and has made crocheted bedspreads for all the beds. They're nice.
Mathry is quiet. The village pub is a couple of minutes' walk. They do food. For beaches, Abermawr and Aberbach are good. You can walk there through Broom Wood. They don't get too busy because you have to walk the last bit. The coastal path is accessible from there too.
St Davids is about 20 minutes by car. Fishguard is similar distance. Goodrington Haven is about half an hour away if you want a bigger beach with facilities.
In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and parking for one car on the gravel outside. Bedding and towels are included. We allow pets.
