Beacon Cottage is on a quiet lane near Llanrhian. It's detached, so there's no one sharing the walls. The garden is yours to use.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a recent conversion from an old milking parlour, and has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. We've got a ground floor wet room which is wheelchair accessible, and the main entrance has level access too. The stairs up to the attic bedroom are fairly steep, which is worth noting.
The living area is open plan with a kitchen, dining and sitting space. There's a sunny conservatory on the side that looks out over the fields and you can see the sea from it. On a clear evening you can watch the sun set from there.
Porthgain is about a mile and a half away. You can walk it. There's a good pub there, the Sloop Inn, and a bistro called The Shed that does food. It's a nice little harbour.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site is useful for planning. The coastal path runs right past Porthgain, so you can walk east towards St Davids or west towards Abercastle. The scenery is the main draw.
Abereiddi is close by. It has a dark sand beach and the Blue Lagoon, which is an old slate quarry flooded by the sea. The beach is popular with families and fossil hunters.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it, and space to store bicycles. We take up to two pets.
