Puffin Cottage is in Cwmwdig Water, just outside Abereiddi on the Pembrokeshire coast. It's a semi-detached cottage, attached to our house on one side. You get the whole cottage and the private courtyard garden.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious. The view from the front is the main thing. You can see right across the bay to Strumble Head.
The cottage is on a slope, so you come in at ground level at the back and the living room is upstairs at the front to get that view. The stairs are a normal, straight flight.
Abereiddi beach is about a mile down the lane. It's pebbly with dark sand at low tide. The Blue Lagoon is there too, which is a flooded slate quarry. Good for a swim if you're brave, they used to hold diving competitions there. The coastal path runs right past it.
Porthgain is about two miles away. The Shed Bistro does good food, and there's the Harbour Inn pub. St Davids is a fifteen minute drive. It's a city, but a very small one. It's got the cathedral, some shops and places to eat.
For facilities, it has a wood burner, parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and we provide bedding and towels. We can put out a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a stairgate. Sorry, no pets.
