Puffin Cottage

Puffin Cottage is on the Pembrokeshire coast, right by Cwmwdig Water. It's a semi-detached place. We live next door. You get the whole cottage to yourselves.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable. It’s an old building though, so mind your head on the beams if you're tall. The stairs are a typical cottage stair, a bit narrow.

The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the fields to the sea. You can see Abereiddi and Strumble Head Lighthouse from the living room and bedrooms. The windows are small and have shutters, which is how it was built. It keeps the weather out.

Outside, there's an enclosed courtyard. It's a suntrap if the wind isn't blowing. You get parking right outside.

Abereiddi Beach is just over a mile down the lane. It's a shingle beach, good for a walk or a paddle. The Blue Lagoon quarry is there too, where people go coasteering and diving. The coastal path runs right past it. Porthgain is a couple of miles up the road. It's a little harbour with a good pub and a chip shop.

St Davids is about fifteen minutes by car. It's a city, but it's tiny. It's got the cathedral, a Co-op for groceries, and a few places to eat. For a bigger sandy beach, you'd drive to Whitesands, which is also near St Davids.

Inside, there's a wood burner. We leave some logs to get you started. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We provide the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.

If you're planning walks or days out, these sites are useful: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and National Trust Wales.
