Cilau Bach is in Trefgarn Owen, near Haverfordwest. It’s a bungalow, so everything’s on one level. It’s in our garden, but the patio area is yours. It looks out over fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own ensuite shower rooms. It has a 4 Star rating. It’s modern, clean, and comfortable. The doorways are wide and there’s no step into the property, so it’s accessible if you use a wheelchair.
Inside, it’s open plan. Kitchen, living area, and dining space all in one room. There’s a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and washing machine. The garden is enclosed.
The coast is about two miles away. Newgale Beach is a big sandy beach, good for surfing. St Davids is fifteen minutes by car. It’s a city, but a tiny one. The cathedral is there, and the Bishop’s Palace ruins. Plenty of cafes and pubs.
If you drive north along the coast, you get to places like Porthgain, an old harbour village with good seafood. South takes you to Little Haven and St Brides. Further west is Martin’s Haven, where you can get boats over to Skomer Island to see the puffins. It’s run by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.
For a change, Oakwood Theme Park is about half an hour away. So is Folly Farm.
Facilities: everything listed is included. Bedding, towels, electricity. Parking next to the cottage. No pets, sorry.
