The Granary is in Hayscastle Cross, which is inland. It's quiet here. The coast at Newgale and Nolton Haven is about a twenty to thirty minute drive away.
It's a detached stone building, about 150 years old. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. We've renovated it but kept the character. There are vaulted ceilings with beams and limestone flagstone floors in the main living area. It's all on the ground floor.
It's wheelchair accessible. There's a shower room with grab rails, and the doorways are wide enough. The entrance has no steps.
The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed patio garden area for them. There's also bicycle storage if you're bringing bikes.
The local pub is in the village, a short walk away. For the coast, you'll need to drive. Newgale Beach is good for surfing and long walks. St David's City, with the cathedral and Bishop's Palace, is about a twenty-five minute drive. Pembrokeshire is best for walking the coast path or visiting the small harbour villages like Porthgain.
If you're planning things to do, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website is useful. For historic sites, Visit Wales has good information.
