The Granary
The Granary is in Hayscastle Cross, out in the Pembrokeshire countryside. It's a detached, single-storey cottage. The building is about 150 years old. It was a granary, so you get the high vaulted ceilings and original beams. The main living area has limestone floors.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. Both have oak floors. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is yours, and there's parking right there. It's all on the ground floor and the doorways are wide, so it's suitable for a wheelchair. There are grab rails in the bathroom.
The local pub is community-owned. It's about a ten-minute walk and does food from Thursday to Sunday.
You're about a 15-minute drive from the coast here. Newgale beach is roughly half an hour away. It's a big sandy beach, good for walks, surfing, or just being by the sea. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website has walking routes and tide times.
St Davids is under half an hour's drive. It's a small city with the cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. The coastal path around there is spectacular. Further along the coast is Porthgain, a little harbour village with a good fish restaurant.
If you want a day off from the coast, Oakwood theme park is about 30 minutes east. Folly Farm, which is a zoo and farm park, is roughly the same distance.
Inside, there's a wood burner, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if you need one.
