Ty Menyn
Ty Menyn is a converted barn in Mathry. It's a proper old village up on the hill, a couple of miles inland. You can see the sea from the top of the lane. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and a downstairs loo. It's a 4 Star place. It's been done well, with oak floors and doors. It feels solid.
The kitchen is open plan and has a slate floor. It's got a dishwasher and washing machine. We leave a decent welcome pack for you. The living room is downstairs, a few steps below the kitchen. It's got a wood burner. There's Sky Q on the TV.
The stairs are typical for a barn conversion. They're a bit steep and turn a corner. The bedrooms are under the eaves, so mind your head in places.
You can bring one dog. There's a rear yard for boots and wetsuits. The garden is yours to use.
Mathry has a pub. It's about a five minute walk. It does food. The village shop is good for basics.
The coast is about ten minutes by car. Newport Sands is a good, big beach for families. Fishguard is closer for a pint by the harbour. St Davids is about twenty minutes drive. The cathedral is there, and boat trips to Ramsey Island leave from the lifeboat station.
For walking, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website has all the maps. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby too.
Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. The parking is on the drive.
