Ravens Roost is a converted barn on a farm near Mathry village. It's 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well finished. There are two other cottages here, but Ravens Roost is separate. You get your own parking and a patio area.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms, so it's straightforward. One bedroom is on the first floor, the other is on a mezzanine level above the living area. The stairs up to the mezzanine are a ship's ladder. They're steep and a bit narrow, but they're sturdy. It's fine for most people, but not ideal if you have mobility issues or very young children.
The main space is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, and living area with a wood burner. It has high ceilings with the original beams. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine.
The local pub is about a hundred yards up the lane. They serve food. There's a village shop a couple of miles away in Mathry. For a bigger shop, you'd go to St Davids or Haverfordwest.
Abermawr beach is the closest, about a ten minute drive. It's a pebble beach with a big expanse of sand at low tide. You can walk to it via the coastal path from the farm, but that's a proper walk, not a stroll. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is right there. The section towards St Davids Head is good.
St Davids is about a fifteen minute drive. You've got the cathedral and the Bishops Palace ruins. There are shops and places to eat there too. The beaches around there, like Whitesands and Newgale, are about twenty-five minutes by car. Good for surfing.
