Mulberry House is in Granston, Pembrokeshire. It's a stone-built country house set back off a lane down its own track. The grounds are about an acre of garden, mostly lawn, with fields around it. It's quiet. Kids can run around out there.
It sleeps nine people in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms and a downstairs loo. One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room. The rest are upstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard. Everything is included, like bedding and towels.
The place has been renovated. They kept the old stone walls and oak beams but put in modern heating and lighting. It's a ground source heat pump with underfloor heating, so it stays a steady temperature. There are wood burners in the living rooms too. The kitchen is a good size with a view over the fields.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking. We take up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
You're about a ten-minute drive from the coast here. Good spots for seeing seals are Pwllderi and Strumble Head, especially in early autumn. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park site has details on all the beaches and walks. For a wider view, Visit Wales is useful.
In terms of places to go, Fishguard is the nearest proper town for shops. St Davids is within half an hour. So are lots of the good north Pembrokeshire beaches like Whitesands. You can get to Tenby or the Preseli Hills in about forty minutes.
