Cariad is one of those four star canvas things on a glamping site outside Fishguard. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. You can bring a dog.
It's up on a hillside, about six acres I think, and you look right out over Fishguard Bay. The view is good. You get your own pitch, so it's private. There's a small garden bit, a separate little hut with a kitchen and another with a shower. You've got a fire pit too.
The site's relaxed. There are hammocks and benches if you just want to sit. The restaurant on site, Tregroes Pantry, is in a marquee. They do evening meals a few nights a week and a Sunday roast. Sometimes they have live music in summer. It's seasonal though, only open from Easter to September.
You can walk down to the Pembrokeshire coast path in under a mile. It's the north coast here, so it's quieter. More pebble beaches and hidden coves than the big sandy ones down south. Fishguard town is a proper working town, not just a holiday spot. There are a few pubs and cafes. You can walk in.
Strumble Head is about two miles west. That's a great bit of coast for views and watching wildlife. You can see seals, dolphins sometimes, lots of birds. The Preseli Hills are a short drive northeast if you fancy a change from the coast. Good walking up there, and some old stone monuments.
Facilities are what you'd expect: bedding and towels are included, there's parking, Wi-Fi, all the utilities. It's a proper hut with a proper bed, not a campsite tent.
