Aderyn is one of our glamping huts on a site just outside Fishguard. It's not a cottage, it's a proper timber hut on a six-acre field. You're up at the top, so the view across the bay is very good.
It sleeps four, but it's one room with a double bed and a sofa bed. There's one ensuite bathroom. The shower, toilet, and kitchen are in separate huts right next to yours. They're private, just for you. The kitchen hut has the basics: a fridge, sink, and two-ring hob. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable, but you have to walk a few steps to get to the loo.
The site is relaxed. You have your own little garden area, a table and chairs, and a fire pit. We've got hammocks and benches dotted around if you just want to sit and look at the view. At night, with no streetlights, the stars are very clear.
Fishguard is about a twenty-minute walk downhill. It's a working town, not a resort. There are a few pubs, cafes, and shops. They run music festivals sometimes, like Aberjazz.
The coast path is less than a mile away. You can walk west to Strumble Head. The lighthouse is there, and you often see seals and dolphins. It's about a ten-minute drive if you'd rather.
Inland, the Preseli Hills are a twenty-minute drive. It's good walking country, and there are ancient sites like Pentre Ifan. About half an hour's drive gets you to some of the bigger beaches around Newport and St David's.
On site, Tregroes Pantry does evening meals and a Sunday roast from Easter to September. They sometimes have music on Friday nights in summer.
Facilities: bedding is included, there's parking, and WiFi. It's wheelchair accessible to the hut itself. We allow one dog. We have a highchair if you need one.
