Y Caban is a glamping pod on a six acre site just outside Fishguard. It's not quite a holiday cottage, it's a high-end camping pod with a separate kitchen hut and shower hut. You get your own small garden space with a fire pit. It sleeps two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The views over Fishguard Bay are very good. There are hammocks and benches on the site for relaxing. At night, the skies are dark so you get a proper view of the stars.
There's a restaurant on site called Tregroes Pantry. It does evening meals four nights a week and a Sunday roast. It's seasonal, open from Easter to the end of September. On some Friday nights in summer they have live music.
The Pembrokeshire coast path is less than a mile's walk away. Fishguard town is also within walking distance. It's a working harbour town with a few cafes and pubs. They have the Aberjazz and Folk Festival events.
For days out, Strumble Head is about two miles west. The lighthouse is there and it's a good spot for watching porpoises and dolphins. The Preseli Hills are a short drive northeast for walking. There are ancient sites like the Pentre Ifan burial chamber up there.
Facilities: your pod has a shower hut, a separate kitchen hut, a private garden with fire pit, bedding is included, and there's parking. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
