Gwdihw is a glamping hut on the outskirts of Fishguard. It's one of seven, all spaced far apart, so you get your own patch. The hut looks out over Fishguard Bay from a hill.
It sleeps four, but it's one open-plan space with a double bed and a sofa bed. There's a separate, private shower hut and a separate kitchen hut a few steps away. Everything's included, like bedding. You can bring one dog.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. It's glamping, so it's a step up from basic camping but still simple. You'll have a private fire-pit and a little garden.
On site, there's a place called Tregroes Pantry. It does evening meals a few nights a week and a Sunday roast in season, from Easter to September. Sometimes there's music on a Friday in summer. It's handy if you don't want to cook.
You can walk into Fishguard town. It's about twenty minutes. There are a few pubs and places to eat. The coast path is less than a mile away. The beach at Goodwick is pebbly, or there's a sandy beach at Newport about ten minutes drive.
For walking, Strumble Head is a couple of miles west. The views are very good there, and you can see seals. The Preseli Hills are inland, about fifteen minutes drive. They're good for a proper hill walk. There's a lot of old history up there, like the burial chamber at Pentre Ifan.
