Carreg Yr Eos is in Lower Town Fishguard, overlooking the harbour. The water's right there at the bottom of the garden, maybe twenty paces from the front door. It's a small, stone cottage, which means it's got thick walls and low ceilings. It's heated throughout, so it's warm.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean, not a show home.
The stairs inside are steep. That's just how it is. The garden is over an acre and slopes down to the sea. There are some steep bits there too, and there are a couple of old lime kilns at the bottom. You get a patio on the cliff with a proper view of the harbour. There's a gate from the garden that leads down to a little beach, if the tide's out.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. We provide bedding and towels. There's parking on site. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine.
For a pint, there's a pub half a mile away. You can walk round the harbour path to it, it's flat. There's a restaurant a third of a mile in the other direction, but that's up a hill.
The main town, Upper Fishguard, has shops, a supermarket, that sort of thing. The Coastal Path runs right past. The scenery is very good. For a big day out, St Davids is about half an hour's drive. The coast around there is spectacular.
