This is about Pila Pala near Fishguard. It's a glamping hut on a site of six acres. The name means 'butterfly' in Welsh.
You're sleeping in a proper, wooden shepherd's hut. It's got a double bed and then a sofa bed in the same room, so it sleeps four all together in one space. It's quite compact, so it's best for a couple or a small family. There's one shower hut and a separate little kitchen hut just for you. The hut itself has a good wood burner for cooler nights.
Outside your bit, you've got your own little garden area with a fire pit and a bench. The view is nice, looking out over Fishguard Bay. There's space on the site with hammocks and things to just sit out if it's sunny.
The site has a small restaurant, Tregroes Pantry. It does evening meals a few nights a week and a Sunday roast in the season, which runs from Easter to the end of September. Sometimes there's music on a Friday in summer. It's handy, but not there all year.
You are just under a mile from the coast path. Fishguard town is walkable too, down the hill. It has the basics: a few shops, some cafes and pubs. They have a couple of festivals, like the folk festival, during the year.
If you drive for fifteen or twenty minutes, you've got Strumble Head to the west. It's good for views and watching for dolphins or seals. To the northeast, the Preseli Hills are about a twenty-five minute drive. That's proper walking country with some ancient sites up there.
They allow one dog. The site is generally flat and accessible, and parking is right there. Bedding is provided. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good for this type of glamping.
