35 Quay Street is on the quayside in the lower part of Fishguard. It's a terraced house that sits right on the harbour wall. So the view from the front room is directly across the water, with boats and ducks and the river mouth.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a ground floor wet room. The front door is level from the quay, so it's accessible for wheelchairs or if stairs are difficult.
The living room has the view and a wood burner. There's a small second sitting room, which is a bit more tucked away. The kitchen diner is at the back. Out the back door there's an enclosed yard area, which is handy for dogs.
You're right on the harbour. You can fish for crabs off the wall. There's a slipway for small boats. There's a cafe just along the quay that does crab sandwiches in the summer.
For walks, you can go straight onto the coast path in either direction. The Marine Walk around the headland is popular and easy. There's also a path along the River Gwaun valley from town.
Fishguard has a few pubs, cafes, and a Co-op supermarket. The farmers' market is on Saturday mornings in the town hall. Newport, which has more shops and places to eat, is about a ten minute drive north.
For beaches, you've got choices. Newport Sands is about ten minutes north. To the south, places like Newgale and Whitesands are within half an hour's drive. There are lots of smaller coves if you want something quieter.
You're well placed for the north Pembrokeshire coast. Strumble Head lighthouse is a short drive west. The Preseli Hills are about twenty minutes inland.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. The parking is on-site, right by the house. Up to two dogs are welcome. Bedding and towels are included.
