Llys Isaf is in St Nicholas, Pembrokeshire. It's an old coachman's cottage for the big house next door, set down a wooded driveway. You get a lot of privacy even though it's sharing the large garden.
It sleeps two, one bedroom upstairs and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. The stairs are typical old cottage stairs, a bit narrow.
The owner is a serious plant collector, so the gardens are full of unusual things from all over. You're welcome to enjoy the shared lawn and your own private terrace. There's a swing seat and a bench.
Inside, there's a wood-burning stove, logs are provided. There's a baby-grand piano that gets tuned every year, and a lot of books and CDs. The kitchen is small but well designed with an induction hob. The furniture is a mix of antiques from the owners' travels.
For beaches, Abermawr and Aberbach are about two miles away. You can walk down through a National Trust bluebell wood to get to them. You often see seals at Aberbach in the autumn.
Strumble Head lighthouse is about a 15-minute drive. It's good for watching porpoises in the sea. Pwll Deri cliffs are a bit further along, good for birdwatching and views.
The National Cycle Route 4 passes about 300 metres from the cottage, so bicycle storage is available if you need it.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV, and bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. A gas barbecue is available if you ask. No pets sorry.
