The Old Coach House is one of three cottages here on our farm in Hayscastle. It's a detached stone building that used to be, well, the coach house. It's old and solid.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean, but it's a cottage, not a hotel. The master bedroom has doors out to a private veranda. You get a good view over the fields from there, right out to St Brides Bay in the distance.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have a dog or children. We allow one pet. There's a football net out there and space for a barbecue. You're welcome to try fly fishing on the farm's trout lake, it's about a five minute walk from the cottage.
You're out in the country here. The nearest pub is about a mile away. The shop is four miles, so you'll want to arrive with supplies.
Newgale beach is about ten minutes by car. It's a long sandy beach good for walking and surfing. St Davids is about twenty minutes away. It's a city, but a very small one. The cathedral is worth seeing. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website has all the walking routes and maps.
For days out, Oakwood Theme Park is roughly half an hour's drive. Folly Farm is about the same. The coast road south from here goes through some nice little places like Nolton Haven.
In terms of what's here: there's a wood burner, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We live on the farm, so we're usually around if you need anything.
