The Old Coach House
The Old Coach House is on our farm in Hayscastle. It's a detached stone cottage. It's old, from the 16th century, so the walls are thick and the rooms feel solid. It's one of three cottages here, but it's set apart so it's quiet.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. The main bedroom has doors that open onto a private veranda. You get a good view over the fields from there. It's rated 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a wood burner for the colder months.
The garden is enclosed. It's a decent size. There's a football net for kids and space for a barbecue. You're welcome to bring one dog.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and hear tractors sometimes. There's a fishing lake about five minutes' walk away if you want to try for trout. You need your own gear.
The nearest pub is a mile away. The shop is four miles, so you'll want to come with supplies. For a beach, Newgale is about ten minutes by car. It's a big sandy beach, good for walks and surfing.
St Davids is about a 20-minute drive. It's a small city, really just a village with a cathedral, but the cathedral and the Bishop's Palace are worth seeing. The coast path runs all along here. The section from Nolton Haven towards Broad Haven is very nice.
If you need a day for the kids, Folly Farm or Oakwood theme park are both within half an hour.
Facilities: everything in the list is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, cot, highchair, stairgate, all included. Parking is right outside.
