Carn Llidi Cottage is on our farm in Treleddyd Fawr, near St Davids. It's detached, so no neighbours attached. The farm is arable and sheep, so you'll see tractors sometimes. The courtyard is shared with us and the farm shop, but the cottage itself is set back, behind the farmhouse.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor. The main living room is upstairs. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's very well equipped and finished. It's a proper family house.
You can walk to Whitesands Bay in about fifteen, twenty minutes. It's a good beach, gets busy in summer. A path from the farm goes straight onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the National Trust land on St Davids Head. That's all open common. There's an old burial chamber up there, Coetan Arthur. The views are massive.
The farm shop is across the yard. They sell bread, eggs, bacon, the basics. Good for breakfast. On some evenings in the holidays, a pizza van parks there. It's good.
The cottage has a patio at the front for the sunset, and a more private, enclosed side garden with a lawn. There's a stone staircase outside that goes up to one of the bedrooms.
Inside, there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair. It's wheelchair friendly at the entrance and the ground floor is accessible. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right there.
St Davids city is about ten minutes by car. It's small but has cafes, a cathedral, a few shops. For other beaches, Porthgain and Abereiddi are within half an hour. Good for coastal walks. Useful links for planning: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and National Trust St Davids Peninsula.
