Carn Llidi Cottage is on our farm in Treleddyd Fawr, near St Davids. It's a detached house. You're on a working farm with sheep and arable crops. The farm track leads into the courtyard, and the cottage is tucked behind our farmhouse there.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. That's why it has a 5 Star rating. Two bedrooms are downstairs and two are upstairs. The main living room is on the first floor. It's all been done to a high standard. It's clean and well looked after.
The views are good. You look out over fields towards Carn Llidi, which is that little mountain. You get the sunset behind it from the front patio. There's a side garden too, which is enclosed. It has a lawn and a picnic table. There's a stone staircase from this garden up to one of the first-floor bedrooms.
Whitesands Bay beach is about a 15-minute walk away. It's a Blue Flag beach. You can also walk across our farmland to get straight onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. That takes you over the National Trust land at St Davids Head. You can see the Neolithic burial chamber, Coetan Arthur, up there. There's also a small sandy cove called Porth Melgan.
There's a farm shop on site. It's run by the family and supplies our caravan park as well. You can get bread, eggs, bacon, and groceries there. They do fresh pizzas from a van on some evenings in the school holidays.
St Davids is about three miles away. That's where the cathedral is, and most of the shops and places to eat. For other things to do, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website has good information on walks and beaches. The National Trust pages for St Davids Head are useful too.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
