Cwmporthman Farm Cottage
Cwmporthman Farm Cottage is on our working dairy farm in Blaenporth. It's the old farmhouse. We're next door, but you have your own place. The views are over the fields where the cows graze.
It sleeps six, but there are only two proper bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has bunk beds. There's also a double sofa bed in the living area. It's got two bathrooms, which helps. The place was fully done up in 2021, so everything is clean and works. It's a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped.
You access it down our farm lane. It's a proper farm track, so if your car sits very low, it might scrape. Just so you know.
There's an open plan kitchen and living room with patio doors. They open onto a raised terrace with a glass balustrade. The hot tub is out there. The garden is enclosed, but it's not fully dog-proof. Your dog can be off the lead on the patio, but please use a lead in the garden and around the farm. It's a working farm, so there's machinery and animals about.
The beach at Aberporth is about five minutes drive away. It's a good sandy beach. Several other great beaches are within a short drive. National Trust Penbryn is one, and Mwnt with its little white church is another. You can often see dolphins from the coast path.
New Quay harbour is about a 20 minute drive. Aberaeron, with its colourful houses, is about 25 minutes. Cardigan town and its castle is maybe 15 minutes. All have good places to eat.
Facilities: there's a wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking right outside.
