Ty Arth is near New Quay in Ceredigion. It's a semi-detached cottage on our smallholding. We live next door in the main house. You get a private patio and there's a big enclosed grass paddock too, which is handy if you have dogs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's very comfortable and new. It was converted from an old milking shed a few years ago. We kept some of the original wood and used it inside. The stairs are fairly standard.
It's a quiet spot. You often see red kites flying over the fields. You can walk straight from the property onto the coastal path. It's about a mile and a half downhill to New Quay harbour and the beaches. The walk back is uphill, so you need to be okay with that.
New Quay has pubs, shops, and places to eat. You can sometimes see dolphins from the harbour. For watersports, like sailing or paddleboarding, there's the Cardigan Bay Watersports centre nearby.
Aberaeron is about a ten minute drive south. It's a nice little harbour town with coloured houses. Inland, you've got the Strata Florida Abbey ruins, which are about half an hour away. The Cambrian Mountains are good for driving through if you like that sort of scenery.
For facilities, it's got underfloor heating downstairs, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We allow up to two dogs. There's another cottage next door, Ty Draenog, so you could book both if you were a larger group.
