Fron Towyn Cottage

Fron Towyn Cottage is in New Quay, right in the middle of the village. It's a stone cottage, detached, so no neighbours through the walls. It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It gets a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.

The main thing is the location. You’re about a five minute walk from the beach and the harbour. The same to the shops and pubs. You can hear the seagulls.

It’s good for dogs. You can take them to the dog-friendly beach at Dolau, which is just along the coast. The cottage accepts two pets.

Inside, it's got everything you’d expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on the drive.

New Quay itself is a proper seaside village. You can get dolphin watching trips from the harbour, which is the main attraction. There are a few places to eat, and the usual fish and chip shops. For a longer walk, the Wales Coast Path runs right through.

If you want to explore, Aberaeron is about ten minutes drive up the coast. It’s a nice little harbour town with colourful houses. The Llanerchaeron estate, which is National Trust, is just outside Aberaeron. Cardigan is about half an hour south, and Aberystwyth is about forty minutes north.

The stairs inside are typical for a cottage. They’re not a spiral, but they are a bit steeper than a modern house. There’s a stairgate at the top.
