Cerniw
Cerniw is in Aberaeron, on the harbour. It's a Georgian townhouse, so it's tall and thin. You look out the front windows straight at the water.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, which is unusual and handy. It has a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently so it feels fresh and clean. The slate floors in the hall are original.
The kitchen is at the back. French doors open to a small, enclosed patio garden. There's a table out there for a BBQ if the weather's right.
Best thing is the location. You step out the door and you're right in the middle of the harbour. The town is small. There are a few pubs that do food, some decent restaurants, and interesting little shops. The beach is shingle.
You can walk along the river on Lover's Walk. The coastal path is right there for longer walks. The cycle trails start in town if you bring bikes.
For a day out, the National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate is a short drive. It's a complete Welsh gentry estate. Cardigan is about twenty minutes north. Further south, you've got New Quay, about fifteen minutes by car.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. We take one well-behaved dog. Parking is for one car on site.
