The Old Cow Shed At Ty Hir
The Old Cow Shed is a one-bedroom annexe for two people. It's on our farm near Newbridge. The views from the front are over our fields.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well equipped. It's all on one level except the bedroom, which is up a flight of open-tread stairs. The bedroom looks down over the living area. The wet room is on the ground floor and the entrance and parking are level, so it works if you have limited mobility.
Out front there's a private patio with a table and chairs. You're welcome to use the garden too. We often put food out for the red kites. You'll see them from the patio, coming down to take it. They're impressive birds.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge freezer, microwave, and a washing machine. The living space has bifolding doors that open onto the patio. There's a Smart TV and WiFi. We have an electric vehicle charger on site you can use.
New Quay harbour is about a 15 minute drive. You can sometimes see dolphins from the pier there. Aberaeron, with its coloured houses, is about 20 minutes south. Aberystwyth is about half an hour north. All have pubs, places to eat, and beaches.
You're well placed for the coast path. For a longer walk inland, the Ceredigion Coast and Countryside site has good routes. The National Trust looks after several places nearby, like Llanerchaeron.
Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
