The Old Cow Shed At Ty Hir
The Old Cow Shed is in Newbridge, Ceredigion. It's a one-bedroom annexe for two people. We converted it from our old farm building.
You've got your own patio and garden out the front, with chairs and a table. It looks straight out over the fields. We sometimes put food out for the red kites, so you'll often see them swooping down. They're impressive birds.
Inside, it's all on one level except the bedroom, which is up a set of open-tread stairs in the living room. The kitchen area has an electric hob and oven, a fridge-freezer, and a washing machine. The wet room is on the ground floor. The living room has big bi-fold doors that open onto the patio.
The bedroom is galleried, so it's open to the room below. It's a double bed. All the bedding and towels are provided.
There's parking right outside. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
Location wise, you're about ten minutes by car from Aberaeron. It's a nice little harbour town with coloured houses. New Quay and Aberystwyth are within half an hour. You can sometimes see dolphins from the coast there.
Inland, you're well placed for the Cambrian Mountains. It's good walking country. The coast path is easily reached.
