Alright, so Ty Nant is our place up near Nebo, in Ceredigion. It's a converted barn, detached. You get the whole thing to yourselves.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one family bathroom, and there's an extra toilet too. It's all on one level, which is handy. The main room is open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area are all together. There are French doors that go out to a patio. The garden's enclosed. You can see the fields from out there, and if you squint, you can just about make out the sea in the distance.
It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and comfortable. It's not a fancy hotel, it's a holiday cottage.
You're up on a hill above the village of Llanon. The village is about a mile and a quarter away. They've got a shop, a pub that does food, a butchers, and a beach. It's a proper local beach. The wider area has loads of beaches, many of them dog friendly all year.
Aberaeron is about a fifteen minute drive down the coast. It's a nice little harbour town with coloured houses. You can get good ice cream there. New Quay is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes. They run dolphin spotting boat trips from there, you see them quite often.
Aberystwyth is half an hour north. It's a bigger town, has a university. You can get the cliff railway up Constitution Hill. From there, you can get the steam train to Devil's Bridge to see the waterfalls. If you're interested in mining history, there's the Silver Mountain Experience about a thirty minute drive inland.
Facilities: it's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right there.
