Awelfa is a house in Aberaeron. It's Georgian, detached, and sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star rating.
The house used to be a gentleman's residence. It's got an Aga in the kitchen. The stairs are fairly steep and the doorways are a bit low in places.
There's a good sized garden with a hot tub and a verandah with a BBQ. We get the sun in the afternoon.
Inside, there's a separate games room with a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. It's useful if the weather turns.
The house is about a five minute walk from the harbour and the beach. There's a shop and a pub 100 yards away. The pub does food.
For days out, Aberystwyth is about a 30 minute drive south. New Quay is about 20 minutes north. Both have boat trips if you want to try and see dolphins. The Ceredigion County Council website has good local information.
The Wales Coast Path runs right past the town. For walks inland, the Cambrian Mountains are a 30 minute drive. Snowdonia is further north, more like an hour and a half.
Facilities: there's parking for two cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
